UniRisX announces the launch of UniRisX Australia 

UniRisX is pleased to announce a significant expansion of its distribution footprint into the southern hemisphere, with the establishment of a UniRisX operation in Sydney, serving Australia and New Zealand. 

The UniRisX Australia operation is being headed up by Stephen Balme and Mark Midwinter, both ex patriate Brits, who have lived and worked in Australia for many years. Stephen has worked internationally with Citibank in Europe and Asia and came to Australia as CEO of AMP Bank.  More recently he has led the establishment of a new Australasian financial services trade association focussed on consumer credit and managed Infochoice through a very successful divestment.  Mark’s career spans both major international insurance groups such as ING and Legal and General, and major technology and software vendors to the insurance domain. 

Midwinter commented “We see tremendous opportunity in Australasia for the UniRisX On Demand Service which is both flexible and easy to get up and running.  The whole Software as a Service (SaaS) approach is very appealing to a market littered with expensive project failures and facing crucial challenges to replace and modernise legacy applications”. Balme added "UniRisX is also a low cost way for affinity groups to leverage their brand and earn new revenue by offering personal line products directly to their membership rather than being tied to expensive distribution models”.
