David Piesse has more than 30 years of global insurance, financial services, information technology, risk management and telecommunications industry experience. With his specialized knowledge of bancassurance, Islamic insurance, micro-insurance, brokerage, agency and non-financial channels within global/Asia Pacific markets, plus entry of insurance into social networks, Mr. Piesse is perfectly suited to target opportunities in emerging markets all over the world. Prior to leading Unirisx’s Asia Pacific operations, Mr. Piesse headed the global insurance and financial services-Asia Pacific practice for Sun Microsystems.
Mr. Piesse began his career at Lloyd’s of London and has held important positions across the Asia Pacific market, specializing in China, India, Japan, Australia and Southeast Asia. He also spent five years with the United Nations in natural disaster risk management and has extensive practitioner experience in developing markets.
